Another year has come and gone. I have been seeing something on Instagram this week where people are using this hashtag #2015bestnine to share their top nine posts for the year. I wanted to do something similar here.

2015 was a good year for us as we rounded out two years in the mid-west and coming up on our third winter here. I just wanted to share some of my favorite memories from 2015.
  1. Myles turned three this year. He loves Paw Patrol which if you don't know it's a very popular cartoon of a bunch of pups who each have a specific job. His favorite is the firefighter dalmatian. We had his party all decorated with paw patrol and he loved it! I also got this enormous cake that was way too big for our small group.
  2. We went to San Diego in march and even though it was awesome to see my family and friends we all ended up getting sick. How is that fun exactly? Well it wasn't at the time but looking back on it now I am glad it's over and I can laugh it off.
  3. Oliver turned one. Oh my goodness his first year was a blur. I made a book of his first year and as I looked back at his first couple of weeks as a newborn I just couldn't believe how much he has changed. He's so different than Myles and it's fun to see his personality develop as he continues to grow.
  4. Patrick and I went to Hawaii for our friends Wedding in October. It was amazing and the wedding was beautiful. We started off in Waikiki and then made our way up to the north shore.
  5. My sister came to visit us and it was so much fun to show her around and take in the sights. She really wanted to see Chicago while she was here so we went down for the day. I loved having her visit and after she left I realized how much I truly miss having her around.
  6. Also from our Hawaii trip we got to visit the Pearl Harbor site. It was very  moving and an experience I'll never forget.
  7. One of my best friends from high school got married and I got a chance to go the wedding. She's an amazing person and truly deserves the best.
  8.  This Christmas season was extra special with Myles because he's old enough to really understand all of the different things that make Christmas special. I loved how he really got into the elf on the shelf and how excited he was for Santa Claus.
  9. Dressing up the boys like bill and ted from Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure for Halloween. For the past three years we have gone the DIY route for costumes and its always fun to come up with something better than the year before. I have no idea what we'll do next year but I'm sure it will be good.
