jumping around

Winter time here in the midwest is my least favorite part of the year. This is coming from a girl that grew up in California and Mexico where temperatures are pretty mild and the coldest we usually saw were probably in mid 40s. I consider myself lucky to have grown up in such beautiful places but now that I have to deal with snow its definitely been an adjustment. My first winter here was in 2013 and it was one of the coldest they had in years. Needless to say I was pretty miserable. I am not and expert yet but I have beefed up my winter wardrobe and I must say it has made such a difference when I do venture out.I feel bad because I don't take the boys out and about much during the winter. It's something I am working on and I know once we are out of the house it doesn't seem so impossible. I can give you a list of reasons but I guess it all comes down to the fact that I am not a fan of the cold. I guess once Myles starts school in the fall I won't have much of a choice. The hubs had a weekday off about two weeks ago so we took the boys to a gymnasium where they have tot time in the mornings. The boys loved it and it was a great way to get them tired out because these boys are always go-go-go and this momma can't always keep up.

This place was awesome. I love the open space, the foam pit that kids can jump in and out of and the trampoline. Oliver wasn't too sure about it at first but once he got on there with Myles he came around. Myles is getting so much better at jumping by himself. I remember the first time I brought him here he was just under two and he couldn't figure out how to jump up and gain momentum. He kept watching all the other kids and I could see he was analyzing their moves. Funny how fast they grow up. I have been here with them on a Wednesday and Thursdays seem to be much quieter. There weren't that many kids running around which was nice. I can't wait to take them back.

One of my new years resolutions is to complete a Project 365. This is where you take a picture a day all year long. I have heard so many wonderful things about people that did it and the main thing that they noticed was that their photography improved a lot. I have completed week one and even though its been less than exciting I know if I keep doing it everyday it will eventually become a habit. Here are the pictures from day one through nine.  It is winter here so we don't venture outdoors too much.

I look forward to capturing the everyday and playing around with the lighting in our house and when we venture out. I am thinking I might do a weekly recap or monthly I fall behind. Stay tuned.
